TIME Magazine collaborates with the Cool Cats project to mint 400 NFT pieces. 

On August 14, Cool Cats announced the partnership with TIME. It even quoted the tweet of Kieth Grossman, the president of TIME Magazine, on July 11.

Grossman posted, “I love this Cool Cats NFT – they are in TIME’s DNA!” With this statement, Cool Cats revealed that Grossman suggested the collaboration. 

Brief information about Cool Cats

Cool Cats is the same with Cryptopunks. Yet, it is at the Ethereum blockchain. According to its website, “Cool Cats have a variety of outfits, faces, and colors.”

Besides, it released 10,000 limited editions of NFT cats and assembled more than 300,000 total options.

Well, Cool Cats introduced the four Cats as founders. These are Elu’s cat, Clons’ cat, Xtremetom’s cat, and Lynoid’s cat. 

Since there are 400 pieces, the site explained it. There will be 100 pieces of Elu’s cat. Also, it has the same number of pieces of Clons’ cat, Xtremetom’s cat, and Lynoid’s cat. 

In addition, it is a meme competition. “We love seeing the community getting creative,” Cool Cats declared. “We want to extend that creativity into this historic collaboration with a Cool Cats and TIME orientated meme competition!”

Long relationship of TIME in blockchain space

The massive involvement in NFT continues. In March, TIME Magazine auctioned its historical three covers as non-fungible tokens. 

NFT auction of TIME’s three digital covers became successful. One of the covers sold for $130,000.  

To name the notable digital covers, these are ” Is Fiat Dead?”, “Is Truth Dead?” and 1966’s cover “Is God Dead?”

Then, it publicized that the firm added Bitcoin to its balance sheet. It occurred in mid-April. Since then, it has had a long-term commitment while embracing the new era of technologies.
