Georgia Plastic and Reconstructive allows cryptocurrency as payment for surgical and non-surgical aesthetic procedures.

In a press release today, Georgia Plastic and its AmaChi MedSpa open the option for patients to pay using digital currencies. It is in partnership with BitPay, the blockchain payment service provider.

Demand for plastic surgery in the U.S. rises

According to the Aesthetic Society, Americans spent more than $9 billion on beauty enhancement amid the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. 

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons confirmed that the demand for plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures continually increases in the U.S.

Now the clients can use the approved crypto wallets. Such cryptocurrencies are bitcoin, ether, litecoin, and many more. 

Currently, the count of crypto wallet users across the globe is 100 million. Also, the release cited that patients can use their preferred native wallet. 

“Over the last few years, we have seen how much power Cryptocurrency has, and we expect this to continue to grow,” Plastic Surgeon Dr. Stanley Okoro stated.
