Geometric Energy and SpaceX will launch DOGE-1 to the Moon

Geometric Energy Corp has collaborated with SpaceX and declared May 9 to launch the DOGE-1 Mission to the Moon. It is the first-ever Dogecoin-funded commercial lunar payload in 2022.
Also, Geometric Energy plans to send a 40-kilogram commercial payload on the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket mission in the first quarter of 2022.
DOGE-1 Mission to the Moon
In this regard, the design of the Falcon 9 payload mission is to attain ‘lunar-spatial intelligence from sensors and cameras on board with integrated communications and computational systems.
Additionally, Geometric Energy CEO Samuel Reid explained the Dogecoin transaction dealing with the payload mission.
“Having officially transacted with DOGE for a deal of this magnitude, Geometric Energy Corporation and SpaceX have solidified DOGE as a unit of account for lunar business in the space sector,” Reid said.
At the same time, Tom Ochinero commented on the matter as SpaceX Vice President of Commercial Sales. He said that they feel the excitement to launch DOGE-1 to the Moon.
Moreover, Ochinero stated that this mission would demonstrate the cryptocurrency’s application beyond Earth’s orbit. Besides, it would set the foundation for interplanetary commerce.
According to the Cointelegraph report, the cost of this payload mission could be $225.8 million.
It means that Geometric Energy has to pay SpaceX for over 380 million at the time of press.
Comments of the Dogefather
Elon Musk, as SpaceX founder, likes to tweet Dogecoin. to the extent that many believe that he is possibly responsible for the surge of Dogecoin since January 2021.
Now, Musk is named the “Dogefather.” He even tweeted on April Fool’s Day, “SpaceX is going to put a literal Dogecoin on the literal moon.”
However, he tweeted on May 7 to be cautious in investing though cryptocurrency is promising.
In this case, some thought that Musk’s tweets about DOGE were just jokes. But, it turned out that those were hints of this upcoming Geometric Energy and SpaceX payload mission.
