A northeast English radio station is now accepting cryptocurrency donations for airtime and sponsorship.
Frisk Radio, which broadcasts on DAB across Tyneside, made the change to provide potential advertisers more payment alternatives, according to the report.
Frisk Radio: The first in the UK to accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Cardano payments
The station claims to be the first in the UK to accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Cardano payments.
Moreover, rather than converting from a pound sterling value, Frisk has established the payment amount in the cryptocurrencies listed above.
“Despite the recent market panic,” said Stuart Landreth, technical director, “the fundamentals behind Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Cardano are stronger than ever.”
The value of the sponsorship and airtime contracts will continue to be held in the remitted currency.
“It would be a huge step forward for the sector if more supply chain actors adopted and employed cryptocurrency.” Frisk is leading the way, and we’ll be waiting for them when they’re ready!
