Emirates Airline to integrate Bitcoin, NFTs, and Metaverse
Emirates, the flag carrier of UAE, will add cryptocurrency as a payment service.

Emirates Airline will incorporate cryptocurrency, metaverse, and non-fungible tokens—the improvement of its connectivity to its customers.
In addition, the air travel company is gearing up for its project to utilize blockchain solutions in tracing digital records of its aircrafts.
Emirates COO’s statement
According to the Arab News report, Emirates COO Adel Ahmed Al-Redha announced the airline’s plans during a media gathering at Arabian Travel Market in Dubai.
“NFTs and metaverse are two different applications and approaches,” Arab News quoted Al-Redha’s statement.
“With the metaverse, you will be able to transform your whole processes — whether it is in operation, training, sales on the website, or complete experience — into a metaverse type application, but more importantly making it interactive.”
Incorporating Bitcoin, Metaverse, and NFTs
As reported, the airline will use Bitcoin as a payment option and include NFTs on its official websites for trading purposes. However, the exact date of the launch remains unspecified.
Al-Redha believes that metaverse provides a huge part of the transformation of the company’s operation which leads to a more interactive process.
Moreover, Emirates COO mentioned new staff will be added to handle the company’s projects related to digital currencies, metaverse, and NFTs.
